Black Student Drop-In Space

Filter

Time: Tuesday, September 5, 2023 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Location: Ohio Union, Center for Belonging and Social Change, Alonso Family Room

Hosted by Ohio State's Counseling and Consultation Service (CCS), Black Student Drop-In Space is intended to build community and solidarity among Ohio State's Black student population. This space can help Black students to process experiences and feelings related to attending a PWI amidst a tenuous political climate, learn academic success skills, and develop familiarity with Black-identified CCS staff.

This space is ideal for Black students who are new to the university and unsure about how to build community, want to process through feelings influenced by the national political climate as well as campus specific concerns, and/or are existing CCS clients (group or individual) who could benefit from additional community support and engagement.

Note: These gatherings are not an appropriate forum to fulfill requirements for academic programs or classes (such as for projects, papers, or graduation requirements), student requirements (such as for First Year Success Series or STEP Professional Development Co-Curriculars), nor for Standards of Excellence requirements from Sorority and Fraternity Life. To find a program that could work for such requirements, check out our calendar for anything with a title followed by DICE.
